Written by CAL Business Solutions | Wed, Apr 02, 2014

If you take a look at your supply chain what comes to mind? Do you say it’s “good enough” or “if it ain’t broke why fix it?” There are simple steps to go from good to dynamic! This will also create a more efficient company in return.

  1. Embrace ChangeNo one really likes change, but if it’s going to help in the long run why not give it a try? If your business is growing you need a Supply Chain Management system that will take growth into account and meet your changing needs and customer’s wants.
  2. Base Decisions on More Than A Hunch - All the data you need is already in your system so put it to work! Combine data with analysis and projection tools and you will be able to figure out exactly what you need and where you need it. Making serious decisions has never been easier or more exact.
  3. Work from Actuals, not Averages - Averages are no better than hunches or guesses. You can’t create profit or efficiency on a guess. With a more dynamic SCM system you get a much clearer picture of your financials and profitability, and understand real, specific costs. This goes a long way.
  4. Know What Your Customers Want Before They Do - Every company wants lifelong customers, but in order to accomplish this step you need to be able to identify what their needs are before they do. An SCM system can do this! This will increase profitability and your company’s reputation while increasing sales with great customer service.
  5. Avoid Disruptions - Disruptions can be bad, but not devastating. With a dynamic SCM system, you can catch vulnerabilities before they cost you money, and be able to plan ahead to avoid any harm to your business. Your supply chain will run smoother, be more efficient, and make you consistent money.
