2 Examples of ERP Software Blogging Sites that Drive ERP Traffic

Written by Adrian Montgomery | Tue, Sep 11, 2012

The typical or average ERP software consultant is not equipped to do the recommended three blogs a week let alone one blog a day.  These are two sites that relieve the burden of daily blogging efforts by individual companies.

1. http://erpsoftwareblog.com
2. http://msdynamicsworld.com/

Our first example is the http://erpsoftwareblog.com.  This site is dedicated to Microsoft Dynamics ERP consultants. Let's take a look under the hood. According to HubSpot (a market leading inbound marketing software), this site is ranking in the top 20 for 945 keyword terms and gets approximately 3,111 organic monthly visits from keywords.  The approximate value of this search engine optimization is $39,000 a month if purchasing keyword adwords.  According to SEO Quake, this site has a page rank of 4 and has been live since May 22, 2009.  To put this page rank in perspective, Intuit has a page rank of 7 and Sage has a page rank of 5.  An average Sage or Intuit channel partner has a page rank of 2.

Our second example is http://msdynamicsworld.com.  According to HubSpot, this site is ranking in the the top 20 for 306 keywords.  The site receives 612 organic visits from keywords on a monthly basis.  The approximate value of this organic search traffic is $2,000 a month.  This site has a page rank of four and as been live since January 10, 2008.

We can conclude that the collective efforts of the contributing partners guest blogging on these sites is a significant factor in their organic search engine ranking.  It is difficult for one small business to blog the HubSpot recommended three times per week, let alone once a day.  When partners get together and share blog writing efforts on one website to benefit the greater whole it is a true win-win scenario.

Now if you take third party enhancement solutions and launch press releases announcing partnerships and webcast events you have an even better chance to rank for keyword terms.  According to HubSpot, the content on the website (on-page SEO) and the content linking into your sites (off-page SEO) from authoritative press releases, article syndication sites, social media sites, sharing, liking etc. is what determines authority.  Add another element to the mix by syndicating the guest blogs through partner social media profiles and you have the perfect storm to set your guest blog up for success.

Another crucial factor for success is the management in place to hold all members together and to inspire them to contribute.  Management needs to know the business and the principles of SEO to direct the content appropriately.  The degree of participation really determines the outcome.  You may not be able to blog everyday but how about once every other week?  If all partners contribute one blog every other week and we have hundreds of partners, the site is destined for success.  Are you ready to join the team?

Ps.  Helpful hint:  Please take a look at a leading Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise reseller: http://www.qb-store.com/tips-tricks/ or www.theqbspecialists.com/quickbooks-help

This blog is primarily QuickBooks related questions and answers.  You may want to consider going to your online community for example,  http://community.sagemas.com/sagemas/?category.id=SageMAS90and200Disc pick a question from the list and answer it.  Leave your company URL in the comment area to get high page rank authority pointed back to your site for your related product terms.  Copy and paste that question and answer in an email to info@erpvar.com and we will turn it into a keyword search optimized blog pointed back to your website.  We will then syndicate it through our network of related product VARS social media profiles.  It is that simple.
