Sage 100 ERP: Why should we consider Sage Intelligence?

Written by Adrian Montgomery | Tue, Oct 23, 2012

Question:  Mike, we own Sage 100 ERP (formerly Sage MAS90). We also own FRx. Why should we consider the new product, Sage Intelligence?

Answer:  Currently, FRx is no longer supported by either Microsoft or Sage. Sage Intelligence is a very different product from FRx and you consider Sage Intelligence as a FRx alternative.

To begin with, Sage built a very simple-to-use tool that was made available to the Sage Reseller Community called the FRx Conversion Assistant. So, for a customer that has spent years developing custom FRx reports with many rows, columns and trees and they do not want to have to rebuild all of these in another product. The FRx Conversion Assistance enables the export of this information into the new Sage Intelligence product.

Sage Intelligence Report Manager includes a standard number of financial reports and Sales reports that export to Excel and can be edited in Excel. Additionally, the Optional Designer can be purchased, allowing for simple and easy report building.

So my suggestion for anyone wanting to move from FRx to another Financial Reporting tool, take a long hard look at Sage Intelligence.
