Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90): Windows Configuration

Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90): Windows Configuration

Question:  We own Sage 100 ERP (formerly Sage MAS90), when I start MAS90 I get a message, "Please wait while Windows configures Sage Components" occurs when starting Sage MAS 90 or 200. How can I fix this?

Answer: This can be fixed by following the simple steps below:

  1. Browsing to the following location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sage\Sage Common Desktop\2.0.Windows Configures Sage Components resized 600
  2. Then manually registering the following files:
    1. bsConfig.dll
    2. bsRegistration.dll
    3. bsStartPageHelper.dll
  3. Then register the dll files.  The .dll files are normally registered during the WorkstationSetup installation. These procedures should not be necessary unless an error or issue indicates an unregistered file.
Note: Normally it is suggested that you consult your  IT or network administrator before making changes.
  1. Close all errors and Sage MAS 90 or 200 tasks.
  2. Open Task Manager (press CTRL+ALT+DEL), and end any Pvxwin32.exe tasks.
  3. Manually register the .dll files using the following procedures:
Note: Use only the registration files specific to your Sage MAS 90 version. For example, using the version 4.20 Regcom.bat for version 4.10 may not successfully register the correct files.
  1. Run Regcom.bat to register all .DLL files.
  2. In Windows Explorer, browse to the following location:
      1. Version 4.20 and later:
      2. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sage\Common Components
      3. Version 4.10:
      4. ..\Mas90\Home
      5. Run Regcom.bat to register all .dll files. Nothing appears to happen, but the files should register successfully.
