Recently companies have been finding it most beneficial to “shop” around for the best ERP and CRM platform systems. With so many companies offering different solutions, it can be a confusing and a most precarious situation to comprehend and then to make the ultimate decision. The most important aspect is making sure you’re choosing the correct ERP platform to implement for your business. After deciding if you will have this solution based on premise, or hosted in The Cloud, or even a hybrid option, indeed there are many other options to consider.
One company that I found interesting while performing my due diligence of researching was NetSuite. This company is one of the fastest growing SaaS (Software as a Service) ERP solution, (enterprise resource planning) and I wanted to find out why. The basic background of NetSuite is that major shareholder Larry Ellison founded the company in 1998, with offices in seven countries, with over 2,000 employees and is presently generating over $400,000,000.00 in revenue.
NetSuite offers a total package for all industries for back end finance accounting, CRM (customer relationship management) with built in marketing automation and case management capabilities, and E-commerce Suite solutions including retail and distribution industries offering full end to end business applications. They are the number one Cloud Business Suite with a single database, and written in a single code base (java script). Since this product is SaaS (Software as a Service), makes this “versionless” and upgrades are performed seamlessly twice a year with virtually no down time. NetSuite Business Operating Systems provides SuiteFlex for development, SuiteTalk for web services, SuiteScript for the programming environment, and SuiteBundler (aimed at ISV’s) for rapid application and distribution. A great feature is the Global Product Access which is available for multi-currency and multi-lingual; easily supporting transactions and analytics.
Other important features are the integrated processes with real time visibility, it’s very easy to use and it’s accessible anytime, anywhere. There are role based dashboards (which are highly customizable) and views, with actionable items in real time, informal analysis, and summary to detail tailored for individual’s positions within your company.
One of the modules that escalates NetSuite from the pack is the Customer centric Commerce, NetSuite’s E-commerce solution for web based businesses, retail, and distribution. It has the ability to be highly customizable with multi-language, multi-currency and multi-store environments. Anywhere, anytime access to your business such as real time reporting for the web store, inventory, order management and sales. Plus it has the same look and feel delivering the same web store experience across any mobile devices, too. NetSuite’s SuiteCommerce is designed around your customer. It builds on the customer system of record providing visibility into those customers therefore being able to drive strategic marketing, merchandising and promotions based upon any customer interaction.
According to Nucleus Research, (an independent survey company) stated that satisfied clients with NetSuite, their 4 Key findings for value provided impressive ROI:
