Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90) Crystal Reports: Alternating Background Color

If you have a Crystal Report that has a lot of detail lines, it can be hard to distinguish between the different lines.  

Here is a way to add an alternating background color to your report.

 
Right-click on the Details section and select “Section Expert…”

Click on the Color tab.

Click the formula button (the blue “x 2” button).

 
Type in the following formula:
if (RecordNumber mod 2)=0 then crSilver else crNoColor
Click “Save and close”.
Click OK.
Now, when you preview the report, you will find that the report has a silver background for each even row.
